ALICE IN CHAINS’ ‘Dirt’ Now Certified 5 Times Platinum In The U.S.

ALICE IN CHAINS’ ‘Dirt’ album has been certified 5 times platinum by the RIAA

ALICE IN CHAINS‘ second studio album “Dirt” has officially been certified five times platinum in the United States by the RIAA, making it the group’s best selling-album.

The band’s 1990 debut album “Facelift” has sold three million units to date and is now three times multi-platinum with the second single from the record, “Man In The Box“, now also certified three times platinum.

Getting back to “Dirt“, the ALICE IN CHAINS record is now officially five times platinum, with it’s lead single “Would?” now double platinum. Additional “Dirt” singles “Them Bones” and “Down In a Hole” have hit platinum status while the ALICE IN CHAINS song “The Rooster” is now certified double platinum.

Looking at the band’s 1994 EP “Jar of Flies“, that effort has gone on to hit four times platinum, with the singles “No Excuses” and “I Stay Away” achieving gold status. “Nutshell ” remains the most popular song from “Jar Of Flies“, selling one million units and achieving platinum status.

Further ALICE IN CHAINS commendations from the RIAA include the song “Heaven Beside You” achieving gold status, “MTV Unplugged” hitting two times platinum and “The Essential Alice in Chains” compilation album going gold.
