ANTHRAX performed a portion of the PANTERA song “Domination” during the band’s August 20 concert in Detroit, Michigan as a tribute to late PANTERA guitarist “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott, who would have turned 56 that day. You can check out video of the performance below, courtesy of ANTHRAX guitarist Jonathan Donais‘ Instagram.

The concert took place at The Fillmore and was part of ANTHRAX‘s current run of dates with BLACK LABEL SOCIETY and HATEBREED, which kicked off on July 26 at Van Buren in Phoenix, Arizona. The tour wraps up at the Fillmore in Philadelphia on Sunday, August 28. The tour sees ANTHRAX and BLACK LABEL SOCIETY performing headline sets while HATEBREED, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the “Perseverance” album, is in the support role.

As previously announced, PANTERA‘s surviving members Phil Anselmo (vocals) and Rex Brown (bass) will team up with guitarist Zakk Wylde (OZZY OSBOURNE, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY) and drummer Charlie Benante (ANTHRAX) for a world tour under the name of PANTERA.

The lineup is expected to headline a number of major festivals across North America and Europe as well as perform some of their own headline concerts.
