BRASS AGAINST singer Sophia Urista has issued her own apology for her on-stage golden shower at Welcome To Rockville last week.

The band wrapped up their set on the first night of Florida’s Welcome to Rockville festival Thursday (November 11) with vocalist Sophia Urista peeing on a fan’s face. And the guy was actually into it.

Urista reportedly complained of having to pee numerous times during the band’s set before some dude volunteered from the audience to be her toilet while the band were covering the RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE song “Wake Up.”

You can watch edited video of the incident in our Loaded Radio Recap video from yesterday or the NSFW version via Twitter below.

BRASS AGAINST issued a public apology, saying, “Sophia got carried away. That’s not something the rest of us expected, and it’s not something you’ll see again at our shows.” A citizen later filed a police report in Daytona Beach, and a department spokesperson said that they are currently looking into the matter. Florida statute 800.03 makes it unlawful for someone to “expose his or her sexual organs in public or on the private premises of another, or so near thereto as to be seen from such private premises, in a vulgar or indecent manner.” The crime is punishable by up to a year in jail or a $1,000 fine.

Urista has now issued her own personal apology, saying: “Hey everyone. I want to speak to my performance at Rockville metal festival in Daytona. I have always pushed the limits in music and onstage. That night, I pushed the limits too far. I love my family, the band, and the fans more than anything and I know some were hurt or offended by what I did. I apologize to them and want them to know that I didn’t mean to hurt them. I am not a shock artist. I always want to put the music first. I’m grateful for all of your continued love and support.”

On top of that, the aftermath of the “pee incident” seems to be continuing with NASCAR, whose venue, the Daytona Internal Speedway, where the incident took place, have banned BRASS AGAINST from any future performances at any of their venues.

NASCAR spokesperson Ruyssell Branham stated: “Daytona International Speedway doesn’t condone the inappropriate actions that took place during Thursday’s Welcome to Rockville event. We are working with promoter Danny Wimmer Presents to address the issue. The band will not be included in future programming at NASCAR venues.”

BRASS AGAINST are slated to open for TOOL on their European tour next year.
