CANNIBAL CORPSE frontman George “Corpsegrinder” Fisher says that he plans to hit the road for a tour in support of his recently released debut solo album.
Speaking with Vox & Hops, George revealed that he does in fact plan on doing a solo tour to in support of the album. The CANNIBAL CORPSE vocalist said he’d love to tour both North America and Europe, however he doesn’t feel he could headline the tour due to his album only having 10 songs.
“Corpsegrinder” made a point of noting that he wouldn’t be doing any CANNIBAL CORPSE material on the tour.
He said: “I plan 100 percent to tour. I’m not going to let this album just get released and not be able to tour for it. Now obviously we have some things lined up for Cannibal, first being this tour [that just happened in February]. But you know I have the same management [as Cannibal Corpse] – you know, the same booking agency – so [management] are working with me, and of course they work with Cannibal Corpse. So we’re going to make sure that nothing conflicts, you know and that’s number one. My priority is Cannibal Corpse.”
The CORPSEGRINDER album featured bassist Nick Bellmore and drummer Charlie Bellmore plus a guest appearance from CANNIBAL CORPSE guitarist Erik Rutan.
