California alt-metallers DEFTONES have made the announcement that they have cancelled their planned shows in Ukraine and Russia.
Not surprisingly, the decision emerges in light of the ongoing military conflict in the region with Russia’s continued invasion of Ukraine.
A statement issued by DEFTONES earlier today (March 29th) reads: “With deep regret, we will be cancelling our Ukraine and Russia shows in July. We’re hoping we’ll be able to return to play soon. We hope everyone is safe.

DEFTONES recently parted ways with their longtime bassist Sergio Vega.
The 51-year-old musician, who officially joined DEFTONES in 2009, confirmed his exit earlier this month, just days after a new photo of the band without him emerged online.
