Christian metalcore collective DEMON HUNTER have released the new single, “Freedom Is Dead,” which you can check out below.
The heavy new new track comes from DEMON HUNTER‘s forthcoming album, “Exile“, which is slated to arrive on September 9.
An official press release for “Exile” says the concept album is “set in the aftermath of civilized society’s collapse, the 12 songs examine modern life through the lens of a nonconformist, contemplating a life untethered.”
A four-issue comic series written by DEMON HUNTER frontman Ryan Clark will also be released to coincide with the record’s concept.
Some of the guests slated to appear on “Exile” include SOULFLY vocalist/guitarist Max Cavalera, JUDAS PRIEST guitarist Richie Faulkner and EVERGREY vocalist/guitarist Tom S. Englund.
Faulkner tracked his parts back in December at his home studio, The Falcon’s Nest, in Nashville, Tennessee with the help of DEMON HUNTER guitarist Jeremiah Scott, who is producing the record.
Most of “Exile” is being recorded at Jeremiah’s studio in Nashville, which is named The Southern Oracle.
Scott is an experienced producer, audio engineer and musician who built The Falcon’s Nest for Richie Faulkner after the JUDAS PRIEST guitarist moved to Tennessee in 2019.
