todd kerns, EXCLUSIVE AUDIO: Loaded Radio talks with TODD KERNS from AGE OF ELECTRIC and SLASH’s solo band

The latest edition of the Loaded Radio ‘IN YER FACE’ Podcast is now available to listen to featuring Scott Penfold in conversation with AGE OF ELECTRIC singer/guitarist Todd Kerns.  Todd is also SLASH’s current bass player in his solo project ‘SLASH featuring MYLES KENNEDY and the CONSPIRATORS’.

AGE OF ELECTRIC formed in Saskatchewan, Canada in 1989 featuring Todd along with guitarist Ryan Dahle, bassist John Kerns and drummer Kurt Dahle.

AOE were a commercially successful Canadian rock band of the mid-90s. Their commercial breakthrough came with their independent EP Ugly in 1993, which spawned several hits and set the stage for the major label release of The AGE OF ELECTRIC in 1995.

The band then regrouped for Make a Pest a Pet in 1997. The album produced the radio rock hit “Remote Control”, which peaked at No. 9 on Canada’s Singles Chart and was later featured on MuchMusic’s diamond certified compilation album, Big Shiny Tunes 2. Although the album was a hit, tensions within the band led the group to break up after a 1998 tour as the opening band for OUR LADY PEACE.

Kerns formed the group STATIC IN STEREO with brother John Kerns (also of AGE OF ELECTRIC), younger brother Ryan Kerns, and drummer Scott MacCargar. They released a self-titled album in 2002. The band was nominated for a Canadian Radio Music Award for “Best New Group” in 2002.

Kerns is also known for his work with the Las Vegas, Nevada-based group Sin City Sinners, alongside former FASTER PUSSYCAT guitarist Brent Muscat.

Todd also has a solo album entitled “TKO” which arrived on May 1st 2016, a follow up to his previous solo effort entitled “Borrowing Trouble”.
