Former IRON MAIDEN singer Paul Di’Anno has teamed up with several Croatian musicians to form a new project called WARHORSE.
Paul has been receiving physiotherapy and lymphatic drainage treatments in Zagreb, Croatia in preparation for an upcoming knee surgery.
WARHORSE recently entered the studio to record three songs, two of which — “Stop The War” and “The Doubt Within” — will be released as a special DVD single along with Paul’s video message to all fans who bought this single and thus helped raise funds for his upcoming operation. In addition to the single, each customer will receive a special event t-shirt, designed by Robert Štivičić (Crusader Art),made for Paul’s first concert in seven years, which will be held in Zagreb on May 21. The show will be filmed and parts of it will be included in a documentary about Di’Anno, to be directed by Wes Orshoski, co-director and producer of the acclaimed 2010 film “Lemmy” about the MOTÖRHEAD icon. A livestream of the concert will also be made available.
The “Stop The War” / “The Doubt Within” single is limited to 666 copies, of which 333 are available for pre-sale (about 200 have already been sold),and the remaining 333 will be available at Paul’s concert in Zagreb. Each DVD single will be signed by the band (including Paul) and will be accompanied by the aforementioned event t-shirt.

A fundraiser for Paul’s upcoming surgery has been organized by his friends and fans coordinated by Kastro Pergjoni from the U.K. and Stjepan Juras from Croatia, in collaboration with the other members of WARHORSE. All proceeds from the single will be used to cover the costs of Paul’s treatment and related needs.
The Zagreb concert will be free to attend and is being held as a way of thanking Paul’s fans for their help during the most difficult time of his recovery. The show will take place at the Bikers Beer Factory, just a day before the big IRON MAIDEN gig at the Zagreb Arena.
Although no tickets are required to attend Paul’s concert, the venue capacity is limited, so everyone is invited to come to the Bikers Beer Factory as early as possible the day of the shows and get a wristband.
