GWAR are set to unleash their first new album in five years “The New Dark Ages” on June 3, and are now streaming the new single “Berserker Mode“. You can check it out below.
The song explores the origin story of frontman Blóthar the Berserker and definitely has a classic “GWAR” feeling to it. (As a matter of fact the whole album does. You can also check out our recent podcast interview with Blothar The Berserker below as well where he discusses the “The New Dark Ages“.
“This is my origin story, about transforming into a drug-jacked unpredictable liability on the battlefield,” says Blóthar. “But like me, it has a softer side, a tale of the struggle of becoming my authentic self…a sexy, multi-donged, vajazzzled, Viking cow beast known as…The Berserker Blóthar!!”
