IRON MAIDEN to headline Wacken Open-Air in 2023

IRON MAIDEN have been announced as the headline act for next year’s edition of the Wacken Open Air festival, happening August 2-5, 2023.

Wacken Open Air takes place annually in the village of Wacken, with up to 85,000 people attending the massive heavy metal event.

The first Wacken Open Air festival took place in 1990 with less than 800 people in attendance, however the event has gone on to become the biggest, and most popular heavy metal festivals worldwide.

Thus far, the following artists have been confirmed for the 2023 edition of Wacken Open Air:

This year’s edition of Wacken Open Air saw 200 bands perform, including headliners SLIPKNOT, POWERWOLF and JUDAS PRIEST.
