The web site of the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office reports legendary SAVATAGE singer John Nicholas “Jon” Oliva was arrested earlier this week for driving under the influence as well as possession of a controlled substance (cocaine).
The 62-year-old singer was apparently arrested at 3:43 a.m. on Thursday (September 30) and then released on bail less than 24 hours later — at 12:34 a.m. on Friday (October 1) on Florida’s west coast.
Police charged Oliva with possession of cocaine and DUI.
The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office website also released Oliva’s booking photo showing the singer wearing a hospital gown and fresh scratches on his face, suggesting he may have been in some sort of accident or altercation prior to his arrest.
