OZZY OSBOURNE Says Worshipping The Devil Protected Him During The Pandemic

Ozzy Osbourne made a recent, tongue-in-cheek comment on how he has been able to stay safe from the coronavirus amidst the pandemic, citing “Devil Worship” as the answer.

Speaking to Metal Hammer, Ozzy says of COVID-19 affecting him and his own family: “My wife had the virus; my daughter had the virus and I never got it. Being a devil worshipper does have its good points!”

Ozzy, of course, is joking in the statement.

You can thank decades of “concerned parents” and the media over the years for the snide  comment. Fronting metal icons BLACK SABBATH may have something to do with it as well. Nonetheless, Ozzy wasn’t being serious.

In reality, Osbourne has had his fair share of struggles as of late, telling Metal Hammer back in April, “These past two years I’ve been in a terrible fucking state.”

“I’ve been struggling with this fucking broken neck, looks like I’m in for more surgery,” he says. “I’m in physical therapy right now.”

On the brighter side, Ozzy also recently said that his new solo album, the follow-up to 2020’s “Ordinary Man”, will feature 15 songs that have already been recorded, with special appearances by Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Zakk Wylde, among others.

“It’s going to be similar in tone to “Ordinary Man,” he says, “but I can’t describe it completely. I’ve not heard it for a while because it keeps going over to the next person to add their parts – we’re fucking around with it all the time.”
