Ozzy Osbourne is reportedly going to undergo a “major operation” next week that will “determine the rest of his life.”

Ozzy’s wife and manager, Sharon Osbourne, revealed the news on U.K.’s “The Talk” on Wednesday evening (June 8), saying that her plan was to fly to America on Thursday to be by the iconic frontman’s side.

During the discussion, TalkTV‘s Vanessa Feltz asked if Sharon was traveling back to Los Angeles and added: “I’m sorry to hear that Ozzy has a big operation coming up as well.”

Sharon then confirmed that Ozzy would be undergoing a “very major operation” on Monday, June 13, adding: “I have to be there and it’s really going to determine the rest of his life.

“My son is also going to have a daughter in about three weeks, and also it’s our 40th wedding anniversary and July 1.”

When the TalkTV co-hosts congratulated Sharon on her upcoming anniversary and asked if she and Ozzy had any plans for the occasion, Sharon replied: “I don’t know yet. [It] depends on everything with Ozzy.”

Ozzy Osbourne recently informed Classic Rock magazine that he was “waiting on some more surgery” on his neck. “I can’t walk properly these days,” he revealed. “I have physical therapy every morning. I am somewhat better, but nowhere near as much as I want to be to go back on the road.”

When the singer was asked if he ever thinks about mortality, Ozzy replied: “At fucking 73, I’ve done pretty well. I don’t plan on going anywhere, but my time’s going to come.”

Ozzy Osbourne has a new Andrew Watt produced solo album set to arrive in the days ahead which features such legendary musicians as Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Tony Iommi (BLACK SABBATH) as well as METALLICA bassist Robert Trujillo, GUNS N’ ROSES bassist Duff Mckagen and BLACK LABEL SOCIETY and longtime Ozzy Osbourne shredder Zakk Wylde.
