The self-titled debut album from the band ENVY OF NONE, featuring RUSH guitarist Alex Lifeson, is set to arrive on April 8 via Kscope and will feature a song in honor of Alex’s former bandmate, Neil Peart.
Speaking about the song, “Western Sunset”, Lifeson says: “I visited Neil when he was ill. I was on his balcony watching the sunset and found inspiration. There’s a finality about a sunset that kinda stayed with me throughout the whole process. It had meaning. It was the perfect mood to decompress after all these different textures… a nice way to close the book.”
Lifeson has also shared a second single from the forthcoming, 11-track effort, following the January release of its debut single, “Liar”. The new track, “Look Inside”, can be heard below.
ENVY OF NONE features Lifeson, Andy Curran (CONEY HATCH), Alfio Annibalini and singer Maiah Wynne.
