SLIPKNOT’s performance in Phoenix, Arizona, last night (November 2) was held up for a good 30 minutes due to a massive bonfire being set in the crowd area.
The gigantic bonfire was lit on the lawn toward the back of the outdoor amphitheater, which held up the band’s performance until it could be extinguished.
The concert-goers on hand were actually singing “Happy Birthday” to guitarist Mick Thomson just prior to the fire breaking out, however it has not been confirmed if that was the excuse used to light the massive blaze.
A user on Setlist.fm reported the fire started as SLIPKNOT were performing “All Out Life” toward the end of their show, forcing the band to cut “Duality” and “Spit It Out” from their set completely.
You can check out footage uploaded to Twitter and YouTube below, showing fans setting a huge pile of lawn chairs on fire while others threw their own chairs into the already towering inferno.
No injuries have been reported as of yet and SLIPKNOT have yet to comment on the incident.
