SPIRITBOX has split with bassist Bill Crook, who has been with the band pretty well since it’s inception back in 2018.
Former AS I LAY DYING bassist Josh Gilbert will step into the role for all upcoming live dates.
A statement from SPIRITBOX reads: “We are saddened to announce that Bill Crook will no longer be in Spiritbox. This decision was mutual and with no hard feelings. We ask that you respect his privacy on the matter and we wish him nothing but the best in the future. We would like to thank Josh Gilbert for giving us his time on such short notice to fill in with us.”
SPIRITBOX currently has eight new songs in the works that, according to singer Courtney LaPlante, are different from the music found on the group’s debut album “Eternal Blue“.
Courtney said in a recent interview: “They’re really different to the songs on Eternal Blue. I think some people might even hate them. But that makes me excited. I thrive on negativity!”
SPIRITBOX are set to hit the road with GHOST and MASTODON this summer with all dates listed below.
