Machine Gun Kelly seems to be pissing off a lot of people lately. Especially those in the metal community. First, he almost got into a physical altercation with UFC fighter Conor McGregor at the VMAs, and then, he goes on to mouth off SLIPKNOT during his spot on the bill at this year’s Riot Fest in Chicago.
The latter of the two has seemed to cause a serious internet shit-storm which has pissed-off metal fans – as well as Corey Taylor himself – taking their own swipes at the rapper turned rocker.
And then there was the incident at this weekend’s Louder Than Life festival in Kentucky.
As MGK took to the stage at the event – which was a festival stacked with metal and hard rock band – he was met with relentless booing and middle fingers proving that there were many SLIPKNOT fans in attendance.
Later in the set, MGK made his way to the photo pit, and was confronted by two fans jumping the barrier. As the evening’s hostility reached boiling point, MGK was seen taking a swing at one of the fans, resulting in security stepping in to separate them.
TRIVIUM frontman Matt Heafy, wrote on his Twitter: “I’d like to formally diss Machine Gun Kelly for ‘being 31 years old wearing a fucking 16 year old pop punk cosplay identity on a fucking stage’”. He then dubbed Machine Gun Kelly ‘Squirt Gun Smelly’, which we think is just perfect.
