Kamasi Washington debuted his cover of METALLICA’s “My Friend Of Misery“ yesterday (July 18th) night which saw him being joined on stage by METALLICA‘s own guitarist Kirk Hammett and bassist Robert Trujillo. You can check out fan-filmed footage of that performance below.
Washington’s version of the song will be found on the upcoming tribute album to METALLICA’s 1991 self-titled album (aka ‘The Black Album‘) titled “The Metallica Blacklist” which arrives on September 10th alongside a expanded deluxe edition of the aforementioned self-titled album.
To commemorate its 30th anniversary, the Grammy-winning, 16-times-platinum-certified Black Album is receiving its definitive re-release.
