Loaded Radio recently caught up with NULL POSITIV singer Elli Berlin. You can check it out in the video below.

Elli started her singing career at an early age, commencing with singing lessons at the age of 13 and then forming her first official band at 16. Elli has said that this period was very difficult for her, performing over 150 shows a year, however she is grateful for the experience which laid down the solid bedrock of a burgeoning career in music.

In 2015 in Lübbenau, a small town in the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district of Brandenburg, Germany, Elli began seeking out like-minded musicians to collaborate with which lead to the formation of NULL POSITIV. The band’s sound is a mix of Alternative and Nu Metal coupled with “Neue Deutsche Härte”, a crossover style that is influenced by “Neue Deutsche Welle” and groove metal, combining it with elements from electro-industrial and techno.

The band is currently made up of frontwoman Elli, guitarist Bene Gugerbauer, bassist Manu Altendorfer and drummer Flo Schnablo, and take their moniker from the blood type O+, one of the most common, as Elli herself has said, we all share it, we all have it flowing within our veins, being essential to keeping us alive and, therefore, becoming a synonym to the general equality all band members believe in.

Since their inception, NULL POSITIV have unleashed an array of brutally vibrant albums, including their debut EP “Krieger” (2016) which was followed by the full-length albums “Koma” (2017), “Amok” (2018), and their latest 2020 offering “Independenz”. They have shared the stage with such acts as ANTHRAX, LIFE OF AGONY and THERION as well as an appearance at the 2017 edition of Wacken Open Air.

Elli has also recently released her first solo single titled “Lieb mich”, which translates into English as “Love Me”. You can check out that music video below as well.
